The Exeter String Ensemble (ExStE) is a full string orchestra for adults learning violin, viola, cello or double bass.
We meet once a month on a Tuesday evening, and study music from a range of genres including classical, folk and film. Most players are Grade 3-6 standard, and priority for places is given to those who are actively learning with a teacher in or around the Exeter area.
The group enables its members to develop ensemble playing skills, discover new repertoire, and meet with other adult learners in a friendly, inclusive and non-judgemental environment.
