My teaching style is friendly and encouraging. I aim to help my students develop a good technique, as well as a love of learning and playing. I teach mainly across the classical and folk traditions, but I am very happy to help you explore any genre of music you would like. Some of my students choose to take graded examinations; others simply learn for pleasure.
I am available to teach mornings, afternoons and evenings on weekdays, and mornings and afternoons at weekends. Most of my students have a one hour lesson once a fortnight, although some have lessons weekly, monthly or on an ad hoc basis. Lessons take place face-to-face in my music studio, or online.
You will need to have your own violin for lessons, but please contact me before purchasing or hiring an instrument so that I can help you find one that is suitable.
Violin lessons are £34 per hour.
